Guiding Neighbors Home
Hope for Homeless Neighbors
The Firefly Project is powered by Boley Centers and funded by the City of St. Petersburg. It is a trauma‑informed outreach program supporting unhoused neighbors throughout St. Petersburg. Our team believes every person’s story matters, and that homelessness is shaped by experiences and trauma that must be understood before healing can begin and stability can be found. Our work starts with listening, honoring each person’s history, and building trust through compassion and respect.
Working directly in the neighborhoods where people live, our team brings essential resources, crisis support, and housing navigation to those who are often overlooked by traditional systems. We create safe, welcoming connections that prioritize emotional and physical safety, empowerment, and choice. By meeting people exactly where they are, we help restore dignity, belonging, and hope.
Like fireflies lighting the night, our support creates small moments that can spark meaningful change — a warm shower, clean clothing, a meal, a conversation, a ride, or a step toward housing. Through ongoing relationships and personalized guidance, The Firefly Project helps neighbors move from crisis toward stability and, ultimately, a permanent home.
Rooted in partnership and inspired by the resilience of the people we serve, we work to ensure every neighbor in St. Petersburg has the opportunity to heal, rebuild, and find their way home. 🏡
